Two-way sync between your Shopify store and AbacuX ERP — products, orders, returns and stock.
AbacuX Connector links a Shopify store to your AbacuX ERP system. Once connected, the app keeps both systems in sync automatically:
Make sure you have all four of these before you begin.
https://shopix.abacux.io —
it must be an https address.
Go to Settings → Integrations → E-Commerce, open Shopify and click
Add Shopify Store. Fill in the Shop Domain (for example
mystore.myshopify.com), the Ware House, and the Location this store
posts stock against. Tick Make this as active, then Save.
AbacuX generates the Connector credentials on save. Copy all three now and keep them safe — the Client Key cannot always be revealed again later.
Open the AbacuX Connector install link, choose the Shopify store you want to connect, and approve the permissions Shopify asks for — products, inventory, orders, customers and fulfilment. After the install, copy your Shopify store URL; it must match the Shop Domain you saved in AbacuX.
In Shopify Admin go to Apps → AbacuX Connector. The app opens the API Connection screen. There is no store list inside the app — it always works on the store whose Admin you opened it from. The badge at the top right shows Connected or Not connected.
Fill in all three fields on the API Connection screen, then click Connect.
The app authenticates against AbacuX straight away — nothing is saved unless it succeeds. On success you see Connection Complete! with the portal, Client ID and connected date. On failure the message names the reason: wrong key, unreachable portal, or the store is not Active in AbacuX.
Open the store in AbacuX and go to the Configuration tab. Set the required values, then choose the modules to sync: Products, Stock & images, Orders, Customers, Packages and Shipments, Sales Return.
Once a module is enabled and saved it cannot be disabled again, so enable only what you need.
On the Field Mapping tab, map the AbacuX product fields to the Shopify fields and check that variant attributes, SKU, images and the inventory fields are all mapped. Then map every Shopify location to the correct AbacuX warehouse and location — an unmapped Shopify location means stock will never update.
On the Synchronization tab run Sync Manually for a single module, or Sync All for everything. The first run takes a while on a large catalogue. When it finishes, open Synced Products List and confirm the AbacuX products are linked to the right Shopify products and variants.
Review the synced catalogue and confirm each of these:
Finally, open Sync History and confirm the latest sync finished successfully.
If the app shows an “Action needed: update permissions” banner, click Update permissions and approve it. Until you do, the new data — for example B2B company names on orders — silently stays empty.
If sync stops: check the store is still Active in AbacuX, re-enter the Client Key in the Connector app, and make sure Manual Sync Only was not left switched on.
Uninstalling the app from Shopify ends the connection. Reinstalling it and entering the credentials again restores the sync.
